abstract | NEW MATERIAL:2,2',2"-Tris[2-( 4-t-butyl-5-hydroxy-2-methylphenyl )acetyloxy]- ethyl isocyanurate. n USE: Antioxidant for organic substances. n PREPARATION: The objective substance is obtained by reaction between 4-t-butyl- 5-hydroxy-2-methylphenylacetic acid, its alkyl ester or acid chloride and 1,3,5- tris(2-hydroxyethyl)-s-triazine-2,4,6-(1H,3H,5H)-trione. When the free acid is used as a starting material, the reaction is effected in the presence of an acid catalyst such as sulfuric acid, in case of its ester a basic catalyst such as lithium methoxide is used, and in case of the acid chloride, an acid acceptor such as pyridine is employed. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
