titleOfInvention Preparation of polyamide-imide
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the powdery aromatic polyamide-imide having improved reproducibility of a reached molecular weight, by subjecting an aromatic tricarboxylic acid anhydride, etc. with an aromatic diisocyanate, etc. to precipitation polycondensation using a nitrotoluene as a solvent. n CONSTITUTION: (A) An aromatic polycarboxylic acid generally comprising ≥50mol% aromatic tricarboxylic acid anhydride (e.g., trimellitic acid anhydride, etc.) is reacted with (B) a polyisocyanate comprising generally ≥70mol% aromatic isocyanate (e.g., p-phenylene diisocyanate, etc.) using (C) a tertiary amine (preferably triethylenediamine, etc.) as a catalyst in (D) a solvent of a nitrotoluene (e.g., p-nitrotoluene, etc.) preferably at 120W180°C for 1W10hr. The amount of the raw material monomers based on the solvent D is preferably 0.2W 1mol/l. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
