titleOfInvention Electrical insulating coating compound
abstract PURPOSE: An electrical insulating coating compound providing a film having improved appearance and characteristics without danger of explosion, obtained by using a specific glycol ether compound as a solvent. n CONSTITUTION: One or more glycol ether compounds (e.g., propylene glycol monophenyl ether, etc.) shown by the formula (R is lower alkyl, phenyl; n is 1 or 2) containing a secondary hydroxyl group is used as a solvent. For example, this solvent is used in the preparation of a polyester resin type coating compound, etc.(preferably resin content of ≥70wt%), to give the desired highly concentrated electrical insulating coating compound for melt coating. When it is subjected to normal temperature coating as a solution type electrical insulating coating compound, the blending amount of the glycol ether compound is more than the above-mentioned case. If necessary, a curing agent, filler, etc. may be added to the solvent. The addition of distyrylxylene, etc. to the coating compound before the glycol ether compound is added to it is effective for preventing the bumping of the solvent. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
