titleOfInvention Emulsion composition with excellent solvent miscibility
abstract PURPOSE: An emulsion with excellently stable miscibility with a water-soluble org. solvent, obtd. by the emulsion polymn. of a cellulose deriv. and a radical-polymerizable unsaturated monomer in the presence of a water-soluble vinyl polymer contg. ethyl acrylate. n CONSTITUTION: A mixture consisting of a cellulose deriv. and a radical-polymerizable unsaturated monomer dissolving the cellulose deriv. is subjected to emulsion polymn. in the presence of a water-soluble vinyl polymer consisting of 0W50wt% α,β-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer, 1W90wt% ethyl acrylate and 0W99wt% another radical-polymerizable unsaturated monomer. The cellulose deriv. is one which gives an emulsion composition forming a nontacky coat having good touch and enhanced characteristics such as grindability, pref. nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate butyrate, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
