titleOfInvention Preparation of adenine arabinoside
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare the titled substance, by polymerizing a photopolymerizable resin and microbial cells capable of producing the titled substance to form immobilized microbial cells, dissolving pyrimidine arabinoside, adhenine, etc. in an aquoues solvent containing dimethyl sulfoxide, and bringing the resultant solution into contact with the immobilized microbial cells. n CONSTITUTION: (1) A photopolymerizable resin in which a compound having photopolymerizable ethylenically unsaturated groups is linked to both ends of a polyalkylene glycol is mixed with (2) microbial cells having the ability to produce adenine arabinoside from uracil arabinoside and adenine in a solvent, and the resultant mixture is then irradiated with light to polymerize the resin and afford the aimed immobilized microbial cells. A solution prepared by dissolving (3) pyrimidine arabinoside and (4) adenine, adenine arabinoside or adenylic acid in an aqueous solvent containing 5wt% or more dimethyl sulfoxide is then brought into contact with the resultant immobilized microbial cells to give the aimed adenine arabinoside. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
