titleOfInvention | Leukotriene a analogous compound, its preparation and remedy for disease caused by leukotriene containing the same as active constituent |
abstract | NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formulaI(R 1 is H or 1W5C alkyl; R 2 is 10W 14C saturated or unsaturated straight chain alkyl; X is O or S; m is 2, 3 of 4) and a nontoxic salt thereof. n EXAMPLE: 5,6-trans-Epoxy-7-trans-9-cis-eicosadienoic acid. n USE: A preventing agent and remedy for allergic bronchitis, pneumonia or shock and other diseases, having inhibitory activity against 5-lipoxygenase. n PROCESS: The triple bond in a compound of formula II as a starting substance is catalytically reduced to give a cis-double bond convert the hydroxymethyl group into an aldehyde and the oxo group into an OH group. The resultant compound is then epoxidized to afford a compound of formula III(R 11 is 1W5C alkyl), which is reacted with an alkali mtallic rhodanide in a solvent to give the compound of formulaI(X is S). The resultant compound is then saponified to give the aimed substance of formulaI(R 1 is H). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
