abstract PURPOSE: To obtain advantageously the titled compound useful as a drug or its synthetic intermediate, by reacting an N-substituted-β-alanine with cystamine or systeamine in the presence of a phenyl phosphonate or a sulfonate. n CONSTITUTION: An N-substituted-β-alanine or its salt is reacted with cystamine or cysteamine or its salt in the presence of a phenylphosphonate or a sulfonate in a solvent such as dimethylformamide, pyridine, dichloroethane, etc. at -20W 100°C, preferably at 0W30°C to give the desired substance in high purity and in high yield with easy process operation without side reactions. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
