titleOfInvention Manufacture of picture frame or the like with embossed pattern
abstract PURPOSE:To perform the formation of precisely embossed pattern surface and economical painting on the surface of a picture frame formed by adhering a synthetic resin film to the overall face of a female mold forming an embossed pattern and then injecting a synthetic resin liquid into the female mold, followed by curing. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin film, e.g., of PVC, etc., is covered over the overall face of the upside 1A of a female mold 1, softened by heating, and then molded under vacuum while discharging air from an exhaust hole 3. Then, an adhesive is coated on the inner surface of the mold synthetic resin film, a form 5 is fitted on the upside of a cavity 2, an expansible synthetic resin liquid 10, e.g., of polyester, etc., containing a curing agent is uniformly injected into the cavity 2, a cover 7 is fixed on the upside 1A of the lower mold 1, and then the resin liquid 10 is expanded and hardened. After the hardening, the form 5 and the cover 7 are removed to obtain a picture frame 11 bonded with the film 8. Then, the film 8 projecting toward outside is cut off, and a foil-like coating with gold or silver powder or enamel coating 12 is applied on the surface of the film 8 to obtain a picture frame product 13.
