titleOfInvention Pressure-sensitive adhesive composition
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare the titled composition having excellent pressure-sensitive adhesivity and cohesivity, by diluting a specific copolymer obtained by introducing side chains containing olefinic unsaturated bond to the main chain of a copolymer of an alkyl acrylate and a polar vinyl monomer, with a vinyl monomer. n CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is diluting (A) an acrylic copolymer having a molecular weight of 30,000W300,000 and obtained by reacting an olefinic unsaturated monomer (e.g. glycidyl acrylate) with the main chain a copolymer derived from (i) 100 pts. of an alkyl acrylate and (ii) pref. 1W20 pts. of a polar vinyl monomer, thereby introducing the side chains having olefinic unsaturated bond to the main chain of the copolymer, with (B) a vinyl monomer (pref. a mixture of a monofunctional vinyl monomer and a polyfunctional vinyl monomer at a weight ratio of 1:0.001W1:0.5). The number of the side chains introduced into the main chain is 0.01W2 per 1,000 molecular weight of the main chain. n EFFECT: The composition can be applied without using a solvent, and is polymerizable with ionizing radiations. Since the amount of the diluent monomer is small, it does not hinder the curing of the composition. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
