titleOfInvention Pressure-sensitive adhesive composition
abstract PURPOSE: To provide the titled composition having excellent pressure-sensitive adhesivity and cohesivity, polymerizable with inonizing radiations, and composed of a specific copolymer obtained by introducing a side chain having olefinic unsaturated bond to the main chain of a copolymer of an alkyl acrylate and a polar vinyl monomer. n CONSTITUTION: A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition composed of a copolymer having a molecular weight of 1,000W50,000 can be obtained by reacting an olefinic unsaturated monomer (e.g. glycidyl acrylate) with the main chain of a copolymer derived from 100 pts. of an alkyl acrylate (pref. 2-ethyl-hexyl acrylate, etc.) and pref. 1W20 pts. of a vinyl monomer having a polar group (e.g. acrylamide), thereby introducing side chains having olefinic unsaturated bond to the main chain. The number of the side chain is 0.01W2 per 1,000 molecular weight of the main chain. n EFFECT: The composition can be applied without diluting with solvent or low molecular weight monomer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
