abstract NEW MATERIAL:A 3,6-dichloro-5-substituted amino-1,2,4-triazine derivative expressed by formulaI[R is piperidino, lower alkyl-substituted piperidino, pyrrolidino, hexamethyleneimino, morpholino, 2,6-dimethylmorpholino or formula II (R 1 and R 2 are 1W6C straight or branched chain alkyl, allyl, cyclohexyl, phenyl or benzyl)]. n EXAMPLE: 3,6-Dichloro-5-piperidino-1,2,4-triazine. n USE: A herbicide capable of exhibiting a very powerful herbicidal effect on barnyard grass which is a main weed in paddy fields, effective against hygrophytic broad-leaved weeds, e.g. monochoria, and weeds of the family Cyperaceae which cannot be easily controlled with little phytotoxicity to rice plants and crops in plowed fields. n PROCESS: 3,5,6-Trichloro-1,2,4-triazine is reacted with a compound expressed by the formula RH in the presence of a dehydrochlorinating agent to give the compound expressed by formulaI. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
