abstract PURPOSE: To provide a polycarbonate resin compsn. having improved environmental stress-cracking, by blending polyethylene and butyl rubber to polycarbonate resin. n CONSTITUTION: 0.3W20pts.wt. polyethylene and 0.3W20pts.wt. butyl rubber are blended with 100pts.wt. polycarbonate resin. When the amount of each of polyethylene and butyl rubber is less than 0.3pts.wt., the desired effect can not be obtd, while when it exceeds 20pts.wt., the delamination occurs and the appearance of moldings is damaged. Further, characteristics such as impact resistance which the polycarbonate resin originally possesses, are deteriorated. Thus, such amounts are not preferred. Said polycarbonate resin compsn. may be prepared, e.g., by a method comprising adding polyethylene and butyl rubber to the polycarbonate resin and mixing the mixture in a mixer such as a V-type blender, or mixing the mixture in a molten state by using an extruding machine, a co- kneader, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
