titleOfInvention Photocurable coating composition
abstract PURPOSE: The titled composition rapidly curable by ultraviolet rays, consisting of an ethylenic double bond-carrying monomer, a photopolymerization initiator and a specified photoactivator. n CONSTITUTION: As a photoactivator there is used a reaction product between an aromatic compound containing an isocyanato-reactive group and a dialkylamino group, e.g., N,N-dimethylaminophenol and an isocyanato-containing compound, preferably, one having a MW≤ about 800, e.g., phenyl isocyanate. A photocurable coating composition suitable for use in the production of printing inks, paints, etc., is prepared by mixing a monomer containing an ethylenically unsaturated double bond, e.g., (meth)acrylic acid (ester) and/or its prepolymer, a photopolymerization initiator, e.g., benzoin, and the above photoactivator. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
