abstract | PURPOSE: An insecticide, containing an adsorbing material in which an insecticidal constituent having the same particle size as that of underwater suspended organic materials in a given proportion is adsorbed and held as an active constituent, capable of exhibiting the toxicity in the body of a larva of a mosquito on eating and a great effect without the environmental pollution. n CONSTITUTION: An insecticide containing 1W45wt%, based on the weight of the an adsorbing material, insecticidal constituent having a particle size adjusted to usually ≤40μm, preferably in the range of about 1W30μm adsorbed and held therein. A pyrethroid insecticide, pyrethrin or cinerin, an organophosphorus insecticide, e.g., acephenate or dichlorvos, or carbamate insecticide, e.g. carbaryl, may be cited as the insecticidal constituent. Active carbon is particularly used preferably as the adsorbing material.
