titleOfInvention Complex of tetranactin with silver salt of acid
abstract NEW MATERIAL:A complex of tetranactin with a silver salt of an acid expressed by formulaI(X<-> is anion). EXAMPLE:A complex of tetranactin with silver perchlorate. USE:Useful for the photographic fields with silver, particularly the thermal development, due to the stability at ordinary temperature and the release of metallic ions by melting on heating at 190-200 deg.C. PROCESS:Tetranactin expressed by formula II which is a macrotetrolide antibiotic produced by Streptomyces aureus S-3466 is reacted with a silver salt of an acid soluble in an organic solvent at room temperature under shielding light to give the compound expressed by formulaIas crystals. The mixing ratio of the tetranactin to the silver salt of the acid is preferably near equimolar.
