titleOfInvention 2'-(r)-substituted-2'-deoxyneplanocin a derivative
abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formulaI(R 1 is H or benzoyl; R 2 is H, OH, acetoxy, acetylthio, halogen, amino or azido; R 3 and R 4 are H or acetyl) and an acid addition salt thereof. n USE: A carcinostatic agent having the growth inhibitory action on L5178Y cells. n PROCESS: The OH groups at the 3'-and the 5'-positions in a compound of formula II are protected by 1,1,3,3-tetraisopropyldisiloxa-1,3-diyl group, and the OH group at the 2'-position is then trifluoromethanesulfonylated to give a compound of formula III[R 5 is group of formula IV (i-Pro is isopropyl)]. The resultant compound of formula III is then reacted with an alkali metallic salt of acetic acid to afford a compound of formula V (Ac is acetyl). The protecting group in the resultant compound of formula V is then removed to afford the compound of formulaI(R 1 is H or benzoyl; R 2 is acetoxy; R 3 and R 4 are H). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
