titleOfInvention Preparation of porous film or filament
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare easily a film or filament of porous structure having improved performances and mechanical strength, by dissolving respectively polymers having different solubilities in solvents which are slightly soluble but compatible each othr to give solutions, blending and dispersing the solutions, followed by molding and drawing. n CONSTITUTION: Solutions of polymers having different solubilities respectively dissolved in at least two solvents which are slightly soluble but compatible each other, for example, one solvent is water or an aqueous solvent, e.g., an aqueous solution of inorganic salt. etc., and the other solvent is an organic solvent, e.g., saturated hydrocarbon, etc. are dispersed and blended, molded, and drawn to form porous structure having pores at the interface of the polymers. A polymer, e.g., acrylic type polymer, cellulose type derivative, etc. soluble in an aqueous solvent, and a polymer, e.g., rubber, polyester, etc. substantially in-soluble in a aqueous solvent are used as the polymers. The molding is carried out by wet molding followed by removal of the solvent, and the drawing is monoazxil or biaxial stretching in a draw ratio of at least 1.05. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
