titleOfInvention Production of heat-resistance polyvanadioborosiloxane
abstract PURPOSE: A vanadium compound and a reagent that can form a complex therewith are added to an organoborosiloxane and they are heated to produce the titled compound with high flame retardancy, heat resistance and cold resistance (to lower than -60°C). n CONSTITUTION: (A) A vanadium compound such as vanadium chloride and a reagent that forms a complex therewith such as diethyl ether are added to (B) an organoborosiloxane such as a compound of formula I and they are heated at a temperature lower than 550°C to produce a polyvanadioborosiloxane in which a part of silicon atoms and/or a part of boron atoms link through oxygen atoms with vanadium atoms such as a compound of formula II. n USE: Sealers, gaskets or hoses required to be heat resistance in such a field as of space, aircraft or car. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
