Proline derivative and its preparation |
abstract |
NEW MATERIAL:A proline derivative expressed by formula I (R 1 is lower alkyl) or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof. n EXAMPLE: N-[N-Ethyl-N-(N-hydroxycarbamoylmethyl)carbamoyl]-L-proline. n USE: A hypotensive agent having improved inhibitory action on an angiotensin converting enzyme. n PROCESS: A proline benzyl ester is reacted with phosgene to give benzyl ester of an N-chlorocarbonylproline, which is then condensed with a hydroxamic acid derivative of formula II. The resultant proline derivative of formula III is further catalytically reduced to give the compound of formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
