abstract PURPOSE: A flame-retardant rubber composition with excellent heat resistance, physical characteristics, flame retardancy and colorability, which is prepared by compounding a chlorine-containing polymer, a metal oxide, a bromine-containing flame retarder, a polyfunctional aliphatic compound, a triazine compound and an organic peroxide, with an ethylene-propylene rubber. n CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. ethylene-propylene rubber, 5W40pts.wt. chlorine-containing polymer (e.g., a chlorhydrin rubber), 5W50pts.wt. metal oxide (e.g., Sb 2 O 3 ), 5W40pts.wt. bromine-containing flame retarder (e.g., a tetrabromobisphenol A derivative), 0.1W5pts.wt. polyfunctional aliphatic compound (e.g., trially isocyanurate), 0.1W5pts.wt. triacryloylhexahydro-s-triazine, and 0.5W8pts.wt. organic peroxide (e.g., dicumyl peroxide), are compounded. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
