abstract | PURPOSE: To improve adhesion of a optical fiber filament to become the core by coating the filament to be molded with polyvinyl perrolidone resin or the like with respect to the mold core monolithically formed of the optical fiber through molding. n CONSTITUTION: The surface of the fiber strand 6 formed of a silica core 1 and clad 2 is coated with silicone resin 3 and 8 for reinforcement and is further protected with a nylon resin layer 4 and 9, and the end part of the material thus prepared is formed monolithically of epoxy resin 11 or the like through molding, whereby the mold core 5 is prepared. In this case, after the silicone resin layer 8 on the fiber strand 6 is removed, the surface of the fiber strand is coated with thin polyvinyl pirrolidone resin, polyvinyl butylal resin or polyvinyl alcohol resin, or the mixture of polyvinyl pirrolidone and polyvinyl alcohol or the mixture of polyvinyl pirrolidone and polyvinyl butylal. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
