abstract | PURPOSE:To improve the hardening efficiency of various UV printing inks by sealing a specific amount or more of mercury and amount in specific range of iron iodide per 1cm<3> of inner volume of the luminous tube. CONSTITUTION:UV printing inks are spectrally sensible in wave length regions of 240-280nm, 280-330nm, and 330-400nm with peaks individually. Argon of 10 Torr is sealed in the luminous tube 1 as a starting rare gas, 1.3mg or more of mercury and 0.007mg to 0.024mg of iron iodide are sealed per 1cm<3> of the inner volume of the luminous tube 1, thus, the decrease in output in a wave length region of 240-280nm is prevented and the output in a wave length region of 330-400nm is increased, and the hardening efficiency of various UV printing inks is improved. |
