abstract PURPOSE: The titled composition, having improved water and corrosion resistance, and consisting of an organic amine salt or ammonium salt of an oil-free alkyd resin modified with a polyhydric phenolcarboxylic acid and a water-dispersible or water- soluble blocked isocyanate compound. n CONSTITUTION: A composition consisting of (A) an organic amine salt or ammonium salt of an oil-free alkyd resin having an acid value of 20W100mg/g KOH and a hydroxyl number of 50W250mg/g KOH, obtained by reacting 1W15wt% polyhydric phenolcarboxylic acid, e.g. 2,3-dihydroxybenzoic acid, with the oil-free alkyd resin and (B) a water-dispersible or water-soluble blocked isocyanate compound.
