titleOfInvention 5-fluorouridine derivative and its preparation
abstract NEW MATERIAL:The titled compound expressed by the formula (A is acyl group having an azido group or a group which may be substituted by an azido group at the α- or ω-position of a 2W12C saturated fatty acid). n EXAMPLE: 5'-O-Azidoacetyl-5-fluorouridine. n USE: An antimalignant tumor agent, an antiviral agent and an immunosuppressive agent and useful as an intermediate for preparing the agents. n PROCESS: A 2',3'-O-alkylidene-5-fluorouridine is esterified with a fatty acid B (2W12C saturated fatty acid having a group which may be substituted by an azido group at the α -or ω-position) or a reactive derivative thereof in the presence of a basic compound, e.g. pyridine or a trialkylamine, in an anhydrous solvent at 40°C or below, and the alkylidene group is then removed to afford the compound of the formula. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
