titleOfInvention Acaricide
abstract PURPOSE: A safe, economical, and effective acaricide comprising an emulsion consisting of one or more edible animal or vegetable fats and oils and one or more edible emulsifying agents such as fatty acid ester of glycerol as active ingredients. n CONSTITUTION: An acaricide comprising an emulsion consisting of one or more edible animal or vegetable fats and oils, e.g., soybean oil, colza oil, beef tallow, hardened oil, etc. and one or more edible emulsifying agents, e.g., a fatty acid ester of glycerol, fatty acid ester of propylene glycol, fatty acid ester of sorbitan, fatty acid ester of sucrose, etc. as active ingredients. Gum, e.g., xanthan gum, guar gum, etc. may be added to improve emulsion stability. The application of the emulsion forms the uniform and stable oily film of the edible fats and oils on the leaves of plants and the body of acarid and promotes the penetration of the acaricide into the body. The emulsifying agents for fats and oils are regarded to have an sngergistic action, and since the emulsion is a food and food additive, it is safe. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
