titleOfInvention Production of conjugated diene type liquid polymer
abstract PURPOSE: To produce a polymer being low in gel content and high in vinyl structure content, by carrying out polymerization in the presence of a specified tert. amine, in the production of a conjugated diene type liquid polymer by using an organosodium compound as a polymerization initiator. n CONSTITUTION: One (1) mol of a monomer such as butadiene (a copolymerizable vinyl monomer such as styrene can also be used in combination) is radical-polymerized in solution in the presence of about 0.0001W0.01mol of an organosodium compound represented by formula I, wherein Ar is an aryl and R 1 and R 2 are H or alkyl, (polymerization initiator, such as benzyl sodium), about 0.01W1mol of an alkylaryl compound represented by formula II, wherein Ar' is an aryl and R 3 and R 4 are H or alkyl, (chain transfer agent, such as toluene) and about 0.1W10mol of an organic amine compound represented by formula III or IV, wherein R 6 WR 13 are alkyl and n is 1W6, such as N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine. The amount of a solvent used is preferably about 0.4W20l per kg of monomer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
