titleOfInvention | Low temperature tank |
abstract | PURPOSE:To make unnecessary the trouble of discharging water by controlling the opening and closing of a water discharging port provided at the lower end of a high dike, using a rod having a positive linear expansion ratio. CONSTITUTION:A water discharging port 8 is provided in a lower end portion of a high dike 3, and a stopcock 9 of a rod 10 with one end buried in and fixed to the basic slab 2 at the external end of the water discharging port 8. When a low temperature liquid is leaked out, the stopcock 9 is liquid-tightly fitted in the water discharging port 8 because the rod 10 is cooled and shrinked. An adequate space is normally maintained between the water discharging port 8 and the stopcock, so that rain water allowed to flow in the high dike 3 is discharged through the space to the outside. In addition, air within the space is released upward and also can always flow because of the space between the water discharging port 8 and the stopcock 9, thus preventing the external tank from being cooled because of the cooled air within the space. |
