titleOfInvention Preparation of module like chip
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a module of enzyme immobilized fibers, having improved configuration, stability, and permeability, being handled readily, by making paper out of polyvinyl alcohol fibers with a specific diameter, swelling ratio, and fiber length, followed by cutting the paper into cube dice. n CONSTITUTION: Polyvinyl alcohol ultrathin fibers having an average fiber diameter 0.01W1μ, swelling ratio 1.5W4.5, and fiber length 0.5W5mm are made into paper by a wetting method. In the operation, if cut fibers are dispersed into water and subsjected to stirring treatment before paper making, the fibers adhering one another are effectively released, to bring about good influence on the configuration stability of the prepared chip. After making the paper, the paper is cut into cube dice, to form a module like chip with 0.5W4mm square. Other fibers may be partly mixed and a binder may be used in preparing the chips. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
