titleOfInvention Yellow coupler
abstract PURPOSE: To improve the fastness of a dye formed by the coupling reaction of the oxidant of a developing agent by adding a specified yellow coupler to a silver halide color photographic material. n CONSTITUTION: A yellow coupler represented by the formula (where each of R 1 , R 2 and R 3 is H, alkyl or halogen: R 4 is optionally substituted aryl; and X 1 is H or an eliminable group) is dissolved in an org. solvent such as di-n-butyl phthalate or N,N-diethylcaprylamide to prepare a soln. This soln. is dispersed in a photographic emulsion so that the amount of the yellow coupler is adjusted to 5W1,500g/mol of silver halide, and the resulting dispersion is applied to a support to manufacture a silver halide color photographic material. Thus, a color image almost protected from fading due to light is obtd. This image can be stored over a long term at the developed state. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
