titleOfInvention Pterin derivative and determination of pterin
abstract NEW MATERIAL:The titled compound of formula I (Q is alkylene group which may be substituted by an alkyl or aralkyl group; R is OH, tyramine, etc.; R 6 and R 7 are H, alkyl groups, etc.). n EXAMPLE: 4-Amino-2-[(IS)-1-carboxyethylamino]-6-hydroxy-5-nitropyrimidine. n USE: A tracer for radioimmunoassay of pterin in the specimen, e.g. urine, or an antigen for producing the antibody. n PROCESS: A nitrosopyrimidine derivative of formula II is heated with an amino acid of formula III under refluxing to form a compound of formula IV, whose 5-nitro so group is reduced in the presence of a suitable catalst to give a 4,5-diamino derivative of formula V. The resulting compound of formula V is subjected to condensation and ring closure with diacetyl or glyoxal in a solvent under heating to afford a compound of formula VI, which is reacted with a chloroarbonic ester in the presence of a tertiary amine and then with tyramine etc. to give the compound of formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
