titleOfInvention | Stabilized halogen-containing resin composition |
abstract | PURPOSE: Titled composition with good workability and excellent prolonged heat stability, which is prepared by adding an N-substituted methionine (a metal salt) together with a zinc or alkaline earth metal stabilizer to a halogen-containing resin. n CONSTITUTION: A stabilized halogen-containing resin is obtained, by adding (C) an N-substituted methionine or its salt of the formula [wherein R is a 1W20C hydrocarbon or a 2W22C acyl; M is H or 1/2M' (where M' is Zn or an alkaline earth metal)] (e.g., N-acetylmethionine or a Zn salt of N-laurylmethionine), together with (B) a zinc or alkaline earth metal stabilizer (e.g., Zn stearate or ca stearate), to (A) a halogen-containing resin (e.g., a chlorinated polyethylene or a chlorinated polypropylene). It is preferable to add 1W10pts.wt. of the (B) component and 0.05W5.0pts.wt. of the (C) component, each to 100pts.wt. of the resin (A). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
