NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I (Y is H, Cl or OCH3; Z is 2-4C bivalent saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group; R1 is cyano, carbamoyl, phenyl, etc.; R2 is H or lower alkyl; R3 is lower alkyl; R2 and R3 may together form a heterocyclic group with adjacent N atom), and its acid addition salt. EXAMPLE:2-(3-N,N-Dimethylaminopropyl)-4-phenyl-1(2H)-isoquinoline tartrate. USE:Drug having excellent analgesic, antireesrpinic, antihistaminic, acetylcholinolytic, gastric juice secretion suppressing, and antiulcer activites. Dose: 0.5-50mg/kg daily for adult in 1-3 doses. PROCESS:The compound of formula I is prepared e.g. by the thermal reaction of a substituted-1(2H)-isoquinolone of formula II with a substituted-aminoalkyl halide of formula III in an organic solvent in the presence of a basic catalyst. |
