PURPOSE: The titled novel composition, capable of giving a cured article having improved weather resistance, electrical and mechanical characteristics by ultraviolet irradiation in a very short time, and comprising a specific organopolysiloxane and a photosensitizer. n CONSTITUTION: A composition comprising (A) an organopolysiloxane having one or more siloxane units expressed by formula I [R 1 is H or (halogenated) phenyl; R 2 is H or alkyl; R 3 is 1W10C bifunctional hydrocarbon or halogenated hydrocarbon; R 4 is monofunctional hydrocarbon or halogenated hydrocarbon; a is 0,1 or 2], e.g. the compound expressed by formula II, and (B) a photosensitizer, e.g. benzophenone. n USE: A release agent for release paper, a potting agent for electrical communication appliances, a coating agent for plastics, a water repellent, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
