PURPOSE: To prepare a low-toxic antihyperlipemic agent having excellent blood lipid depressing activity, and containing a 5-alkyl-3-pyrazolecarboxylic acid derivative. n CONSTITUTION: An agent containing a 5-alkyl-3-pyrazolecarboxylic acid derivative of formula [R 1 is C n H 2n+1 (n is 3W11); R 2 is H or lower alkyl], e.g. 5-isopropyl- 3-pyrazolecarboxylic acid. The compound of formula has higher antihyperlipemic activity and lower toxicity than clofibrate and nicotinic acid, and consequently higher safety. Useful for the prevention and remedy for hyperlipemia and arteriosclerosis. Dose: 0.2W3g, pref. 0.5W1.5g daily for adult by oral administration. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
