titleOfInvention 3,3'-dinitro-4,4'-diimidodiphenyl sulfone and its preparation
abstract NEW MATERIAL:3,3'-Dinitro-4,4'-diimidodiphenyl sulfone of formula (R 11 and R 12 are formulas II, III and IV: R 2 is H, methyl or phenyl; m and n are 0 or 1; methyl group in them is linked to the carbon atom which may have one H atom). n EXAMPLE: 3,3'-Dinitro-4,4'-di(3,6-endomethylene-1, 2, 3, 6-tetrahydro-cis-phthalimido)diphenyl sulfone. n USE: An intermediate for preparing an unsaturated imide useful as a raw material of a thermosetting heat-resistant resin. n PROCESS: 3,3'-Dinitro-4,4'-diaminodiphenyl sulfone of formula V is subjected to the addition reaction with a cyclic acid anhydride of formula VI (R 10 is formulas II, III, etc.) in an inert solvent, and preferably condensed in the presence of a dehydrating agent through ring closure under heating to afford the compound of formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
