titleOfInvention Control agent against resistant green rice leafhopper
abstract PURPOSE: The titled control agent prepared by mixing phosdiphen with S-[α-(ethoxycarbonyl)-benzyl]dimethyl phosphorothiolothionate. n CONSTITUTION: A control agent against a resistant green rice leafhopper, comprising a mixture of 0-ethyl 0,0-di(2,4-dichlorophenyl)phosphate (hereafter referred to as phosdiphen) with S-[α-(ethoxycarbonyl)benzyl]dimethyl phosphorothiolothionate (hereafter referred to as PAP) as the active constituents. PAP has an insufficient insecticidal effect against a resistant green rice leafhopper, though excellently effective against a sensitive green rice leafhopper. The mixture of PAP with phosdiphen which is a control agent against rice blast without an insecticidal activity has a high control effect against a resistant green rice leafhopper which cannot be easily controlled and occurs due to the continuous use of N-methyl-carbamate insecticides, and is also effective against injurious insects such as a smaller brown planthopper, a brown planthopper and pentatomids and rice blast. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
