titleOfInvention Novel 2-acetoxybenzamide derviative, its preparation, and pharmaceutical containing said derviative as effective component
abstract NEW MATERIAL:N-3a'-Propylphenazonyl-2-acetoxybenzamide of formula I. n USE: An antipyretic, analgesic and antiphlogistic agent having no hygroscopicity and high stability. It can be administered without side effects such as stimmulation to the stomach which is an undesirable side effect of aspirin. n PROCESS: The compound of formula I can be prepared by reacting a compound of formula II with acetylsalicylic acid or its reactive acid derivative in an inert solvent such as chloroform in the presence of a carbodiimide, pref. dicyclohexyl carbodiimide. The compound of formula II is obtained by reacting a compound of formula III (X is halogen) with hexamethylenetetramine, hydrolyzing the product, and reacting the resulting compound with ammonia. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
