abstract | PURPOSE: To provide the titled resin foam which excels in mechanical performance and in which particularly brittleness is improved, by a method wherein a compsn. contg. a resol type phenolic resin, a foam stabilizer, a blowing agent, an alkyl phosphate ester, and a hardener as the main components, is stirred with mixing. n CONSTITUTION: A compsn. contg. (A) a resol type phenolic resin having a viscosity of 500ps or below obtained by the reaction of phenol with an excess amount of formaldehyde in a mole ratio of formaldehyde to phenol of 1.5W2 and in the presence of a basic catalyst, (B) a foam stabilizer (e.g. polyoxyethylene sorbitan ester), (C) a blowing agent (e.g. petroleum ether), (D) an alkyl phosphate ester (e.g. polyoxyethylene glycol phosphate or tricresyl phosphate) and (E) a hardener (e.g. phenolsulfonic acid, benzenesulfonic acid), is stirred with mixing to obtain the titled resin foam. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
