titleOfInvention Demineralization of polyolefin
abstract PURPOSE: To remove catalyst residues and to deactivate and remove acidic substances, by contacting, with an epoxide, polyolefin in the state of slurry, prepared by use of a catalyst containing a transition metal and an organic Al compound, and then washing the product with water under a specified condition. n CONSTITUTION: The catalyst residues of polyolefin are removed by contacting, with an epoxide such as ethylene oxide or epichlorohydrin, crude polyolefin produced by use of a catalyst containing a halide of a transition metal, such as TiCl 3 or TiCl 4 and an organic Al compound such as triethylaluminum or diethylaluminum chloride, in the state of dispersion in a diluent such as heptane or toluene, and then washing the product with at least 300 times the mol of the total catalyst, of water. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
