titleOfInvention Arrow root extract and production of its medical preparation
abstract PURPOSE: Arrow roots are extracted with a specific alcohol aqueous solution, impurities are removed and the extract is concentrated to produce a water-soluble arrow root extract that clearly dissolves in water and is used as a diaphoretic, antipyretic or antispasmodic. n CONSTITUTION: Roots of Pueraria lobata Ohwi are extracted with a 10W50% lower aliphatic alcohol aqueous solution under heating. Impurities are removed from the extract by filtration and then, the extract is concentrated to give the objective arrow root extract that can dissolve clearly in water with high safety. Further, a guarana extract may be added thereto. The extract is more clear than an extract with water only. The arrow root extract is used as a solution of 1 W several % concentration. It especially is effective on stiffness in shoulders and cervical backs. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
