titleOfInvention Magnetic toner
abstract PURPOSE: To enable the titled toner for photofixing to effect fixing with low energy and successive long run use, by adding a polymer or a copolymer containing the structural units of methyl methacrylate monomers to a binder resin to be used for the magnetic toner. n CONSTITUTION: A copolymer of methyl methacrylate and vinyl acetate or the like having about 60°C softening point is kneaded together with a magnetic powder and carbon black, pulverized, and classified to give a toner. The binder resin of the toner thus obtained absorbs well the light in the infrared region of the emission spectrum from a photofixing unit using a xenon lamp or the like, permitting a superior image to be obtained with low fixing energy. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
