titleOfInvention | Composition for preventing caries |
abstract | PURPOSE:To composition, capable of suppressing the multiplication of a cariogenic microorganism in sordes on a tooth, neutralizing an organic acid produced, and preventing the caries effectively without adversely affecting a human body, and comprising borax and/or sodium hydrogencarbonate as active components. CONSTITUTION:A composition for preventing caries comprising borax and/or sodium hydrogencarbonate as active components. The composition is usable in the form of dentifrice, a gargle, dental froth or coating agent. The amount of the borax and sodium hydrogencarbonate are in the range of 0.01wt% to the concentration of saturated solutions in the case of a gargle or coating agent. In the case of a paste or powder such as dentifrice or solid coating agent, the upper limit of the amounts need not to be set; however, the amounts of the saturated concentration to a little supersaturation are sufficient for a solid agent due to the neutralizing effect thereof. |
