abstract PURPOSE: To prepare the titled dispersing agent giving a mixture of coal fine powder and a fuel oil having excellent long-term static and mechanical stability and high fluidity, by using a metal salt of dialkyl sulfosuccinate and a nonionic surface active agent as effective components. n CONSTITUTION: The objective dispersing agent is prepared by mixing (A) a metal salt of dialkyl sulfosuccinate of formula (R and R' are ≥4C alkyl; n is 1W3; M is n-valent metal) and (B) a nonionic surface active agent having an average molecular weight of 2,000W45,000 and obtained by the block addition reaction of 1mol of a 4W12C alkanediol with 20W800mol of ethylene oxide and 15W200mol of propylene oxide.
