titleOfInvention | Optical resolution of (+-)-phenylglycine and/or (+-)-camphor-sulfonic acid |
abstract | PURPOSE: To carry out the optical resolution of phenylglycine and camphorsulfonic acid useful as synthetic raw materials of medicines, etc. simultaneously, in high efficiency, by the use of a mixture of optically active isomers and racemates of phenylglycine and camphorsulfonic acid as the resolving agent for each compound. n CONSTITUTION: A solution containing a mixture composed of optically active isomers and racemates of phenylglycine (PG) and camphorsulfonic acid (CSA) is prepared. After crystallizing (+)-PG-(-)-CSA salt or (-)-PG-(+)-CSA salt from the solution, (±)-PG and (±)-CSA are resolved to each optical isomers by the solid- liquied separation of the solution followed by the separation of PG from CSA. The amount of the recovered optical isomers is more than that of the used isomer, and the optical resolution can be carried out continuously. The D-(-)-PG is useful as a synthetic raw material of pennicillin, etc., and the L-(3)-PG and (+)- CSA are useful as resolving agents. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
