titleOfInvention Preparation of hydrazine hydrate
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the hydrazine hydrate easily by maintaining the ammonia concn. to a predetermined value and carrying out the distillation at a predetermined temp. in preparing hydrazine hydrate. n CONSTITUTION: In a method for preparing the hydrazine hydrate by reacting hydrazine sulphate and ammonia in the presence of water, the ammonia concn. in a reaction medium is maintained at 25wt% or more always. Thereby, the solubility of ammonium sulphate is extremely lowered and the separation thereof becomes easily. As the hydrazine sulphate, for example, monohydrazine sulphate is used and ammonia is a liquid ammonia or the like. The amount of water is pref. about 20mol or less against one mole of a hydrazine component. After precipitated and crystallized ammonium sulphate is removed, the filtrate is distilled at 180°C or less, pref., at 75W150°C. Moreover, a washing liquid of ammonium sulphate and a kettle residue after the hydrazine hydrate is distilled are recirculated to a reaction medium and reused. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
