titleOfInvention Modified unsaturted polyester resin composition
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a modified unsaturated polyester resin composition capable of forming a paint film which is good in smoothness, weather resistance, corrosion resistance, etc., and having excellent storage stability from an unsaturated polyester, which is solid at room temperature, a specific compound, and a curing catalyst. n CONSTITUTION: One hundred pts.wt. an unsaturated polyester (A) which is solid at room temperature, having a softening point of 30W170°C and a molecular weight of 500W20,000, obtained from a dicarboxylic acid composed of 20W50mol% unsaturated dicarboxylic acid and 80W50mol% an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and a polyhydric alcohol component containing 10W40mol% 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol and 40W90mol% neopentyl glycol, is mixed with 0.05W20pts.wt. a compound (B) with two or more ether bonds per molecule, e.g., polyethylene oxide, polypropylene oxide, etc., and 0.01W5pts.wt. a curing catalyst (C), e.g., methyl ethyl ketone peroxide, tertiary-butyl peroxide, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
