abstract PURPOSE: To determine activity of angiotensinase with ease, by blending a specific reagent with a solution containing angiotensinase to give quinoneimine dye, followed by measuring its concentration by colorimetry. n CONSTITUTION: A reagent consisting of hippuryl-L-histidyl-L-leucine shown by the formula, hippuricase, glycine oxidase, peroxidase, 4-aminoantipyrine, and phenol is added to a solution containing angiotensinase to form quinoneimine dye.
