PURPOSE: To provide torque stabilization of fastening elements by coating their surfaces with a torque stabilizer prepared by mixing an oil-soluble sulfonate and/ or a sorbitan ester, a rust-preventing agent and an organic solvent. n CONSTITUTION: A torque stabilizer is prepared by adding to an organic solvent (pref. one having a b.p. of above 100°C, for example, mineral oil), about 1W 20wt% of an oil-soluble sulfonate such as barium dibutylnaphthalenesulfonate and/ or a higher fatty acid sorbitan ester such as sorbitan trioleate and about 0.1W10wt% of a rust-preventing agent such as benzotriazole. Then, metallic or alloy fastening elements such as bolts, nuts and washers are subjected to torque stabilization treatment by coating them with said torque stabilizer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
