PURPOSE: To obtain a selective permeable membrane for separating gases, having improved uniformity and softness, by forming a mixture of methylpentene polymer and an alternating copolymer of an alpha-olefine and maleic anhydride into a film. n CONSTITUTION: A mixture composed primarily of 100pts.wt. a methylpentene polymer, e.g., poly(4-methylpenetene-1), etc., and 1W100pts.wt. an alternating copolymer of a 2W30C alpha-olefine, e.g., 1-hexadecene, etc., and maleic anhydride is formed into a film to obtain a selective permeable membrane for separting gases. The membrane thus obtained has better softness, expansibility, and durability as well as excellent selective permeability for gas, particularly oxygen, from mixed gases, because the alternating copolymer serves as a plasticizer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio |
