titleOfInvention Ignition device for internal combustion engine
abstract PURPOSE:To provide the ignition device for the internal combustion engine, which is designed to feed fuel adsorbed by a fuel vapor adsorbing means to the top of an ignition plug, so as to reduce the amount of CO2 at the top of the ignition plug and to ensure the ignition of mixture by the aid of fuel thus supplied from said fuel vapor adsorbing means. CONSTITUTION:A heavy-hydrocarbon adsorbing means 2 having activated carbon 10 filled therein is provided for adsorbing vaporized fuel in a fuel tank 3. Fuel thus adsorbed by the means 2 is led into a gas introducing passage 8 via a vacuum control valve 12 which is opened in response to the suction vacuum developed in a vacuum pipe 13. The passage 8 has a solenoid valve 16 and a check valve 17 and its top is opened in a spark producing space 7 formed at the top of the ignition plug 1, so that adsorbed fuel is drawn into the space 7 at the time of the suction stroke of a combustion chamber 18.
